Illustration onlySlate sign or coaster: a simple drawing to help you picture short or long wording — not a seller’s product, font or layout. Real items vary, so always check the seller’s own preview or proof. What you type isn’t stored.
About this idea
Natural slate engraves to a pale grey and stands up well to the weather, which makes it a good material for house signs and numbers. Some sellers fill the letters with white or gold paint for extra contrast.
Who it suits
New homeowners, cottages and anyone who likes a classic look.
Ordering in time
Made to order; heavy slate signs need careful packaging.
Before you order
- Check the size and thickness for outdoor use.
- Ask whether fixings are included.
- Short names engrave larger and read better from the street.
